Sickness

Being sick sucks. Going from being perfectly fine to feeling like death has wrapped its cold hands around you as sudden as the click of your fingers sounds as good as it is. It’s not good, it’s terrible. It’s a chest infection.

To make matters worse, I have had to take the week off college because I just have not been feeling well. As a result, I missed my lab for technical writing, in which I was supposed to create a website via HTML. I missed my Monday morning slot and was aiming to go to Wednesday morning’s slot but I couldn’t – I still felt terrible. I also missed my tutorial slot.

It wasn’t only technical writing that I missed this week. I missed an InDesign workshop in Sub-Editing ahead of an assessment next Tuesday. Hopefully, I can figure both HTML and InDesign out myself. I’m sure there’s videos on YouTube that will help me.

The biggest thing I missed was LULITMI. There was a marketplace, as the lecturer calls it, on in the biggest lecture hall on campus (which doubles as a concert hall). My work was on the poster. I had been researching for five weeks and working with my team throughout the weeks but because I was sick, I couldn’t be there with them on Thursday for the main event of the whole project.

Still, it’s nothing a doctor’s note can’t fix.
