That’s right, I’m in Donegal. I’m home for the semester as the University’s campus was forced to shut by the Taoiseach for two weeks (it will be more). It’s been a boring week littered with watching obscure football leagues, doing marathons of certain film directors’ works and beating a first team with my under-18’s on Football Manager. Oh, and college work too. I swear.
On a more serious note, I’ve been kept pretty busy by college work. For TW4006, I had a change of heart on the website I wanted to make for one of the assignments. It is now a (fake) movie service that can stream films online and deliver physical copies to your door. This is going to be much better than my last idea, which was celebrating sport’s most overlooked athletes.
Online lectures started on Wednesday due to St. Patrick’s day and my academic week was much shorter as a result. In radio journalism, we had an assignment change. The 60% reserved for our package is now for editing a package we didn’t compile – which is far easier to do, given the current global health crisis.
Public Admin has continued without change, as the last marks to get are part of an online exam in a few weeks. I’ve started my study for that exam by ploughing through the readings set for us.
SO4008 had an assignment due this week which was odd at first glance but rather easy to be honest. We had to analyse tweets the class made while viewing a YouTube video. It was simple.
Washing your hands is also simple, it only takes some soap and water. Do that, stay in contact with others through technology and keep yourself busy. Don’t be an idiot. Download Football Manager. It’ll be alright. Stay safe.
